Weight and torque cable problem solved.
We wanted to use the lighter 6ft HDMI cable to connect to our 2015 computer and the 25ft heavy cable that we have used to connect to our TV ever since . I was concerned that both the increased weight of the cable and the torque at the computer's HDMI input would damage the connection. This "fix" is working very well for now as the weight and torque issue has been resolved.
