The light is even (flicker free) cool white (bluish white as opposed to warm/yellowish) - similar in color to a fluorescent lamp. It's not a very bright light, but it's a big improvement over the 1 or 2 LED bulbs that are sold very bright. This is a nice diffused light that evenly illuminates the entire stand. It works for about 6 hours at maximum brightness. The design is sleek and the construction feels pretty solid. I cut two thin strips of aluminum tape and carefully taped that edge - it was an easy fix. I am very happy with the light. I'm giving it three stars because the light leak and battery indicator issue should be fixed during beta testing.
