, I thought my air conditioning problems might be due to a faulty water control valve. So I figured I'd buy that as a test rather than buying a much more expensive BMW part to see if that's the problem. I installed it and ran into the same problem, thinking it must be something other than a water control valve failure. I took the car to an independent BMW workshop. The technician there informed me that this valve had failed and replaced it with a BMW part, so I paid for the part and labor. The water control valve was only in the car for about an hour. I advise against buying this product even as a test sample. You know the old saying "buy once, cry once" and I would love to find a genuine BMW part and invest that money in it.
