Review on Kinco Premium Pigskin Heatkeep Insulation by Joe Glass

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Regular local skier / part-time job "Lifty ". I *love* these gloves.

As a regular "lifty" weekender at a northeastern ski resort, I *love* these gloves. I have both the 1927KW and 901. I'm doing a few SnoSeal treatments with the oven trick to prep them for outdoor work. (First: Use a Sharpie permanent marker for your name or initials on the leather piece. Second: I heated my gloves in an oven at 200-180 F for 5-10 minutes and then applied SnoSeal twice to the glove's warm skin ) I have three pairs of 1927KW and one pair of 901 as spare ski gloves. 901s are a bit more durable due to the extra leather, but don't wear out as quickly and aren't as flexible. (but I love them on cold days too) I bought a pair of these 1927KW everyday items for the house. As we near the end of the season and prices go down (sometimes) I'll be buying a few more pairs for my inventory. I have recommended these gloves to various colleagues in my "full-time" job for shoveling and blowing snow. Once worn, these gloves will become your favorite gloves. Not the kind of gloves I would reach for in the coldest weather. As other reviewers have pointed out, look around at the many local skiers, ski patrols and lift operators and you will see many of these gloves. Kinco gloves continue to meet or exceed my expectations. In fact, I bought these gloves for my two daughters and encouraged my brother to buy a pair too. These are simply great winter work gloves and everyday gloves. Now I have three pairs of these gloves for work, one I put on and the other two dry from the previous days. Because of the cheap price, these gloves are readily available. However, they dry well over a heater vent. Don't forget to apply your favorite skin care afterwards.

Pros
  • HEATKEEP INSULATION KEEP YOUR HANDS WARM AND DRY: Heatkeep insulation is made from finely spun polyester fibers that create thousands of air pockets between the outer shell and inner lining, enveloping the entire hand. These air pockets trap body heat in the glove and protect the hand from the cold. An inner lining laminated with Heatkeep fibers wicks moisture away from hands and keeps them dry.
