Budget camera but good for beginners

First off, don't expect to get mirror quality photos from this camera. You will be disappointed. This is a very affordable camera. The photo quality is bad in my opinion. I've never used a cell phone camera, but I use dedicated point and shoot and many DSLR cameras. The quality of the photos from this small camera is second to none. Just note that he takes passable photos, but not very detailed ones. See the pictures I've attached. One shows an image of a tree that has been cropped and enlarged to 100%. It's blurry and pixelated. Also check the image size of one of the photos I opened in Photoshop. The full tree image is next to this one. As a camera for children or beginner photographers, this image quality is acceptable. If you plan to print poster sized images, I would look for another camera for that purpose. The camera itself is very light. The battery is rechargeable. At first I had trouble inserting the SD card. You really have to click it so it fits in the card slot. The camera weighs next to nothing, even with the battery and SD card. It's easy to carry around in your pocket, but I don't think it's really that durable. Since it seems to break so easily, I'm curious as to why it's being marketed as a kids camera. Without an SD card, you can only take one photo, so buy an SD card if you want to use it! The controls are easy to use. The menu is pretty simple. You have to go into the menu to change the photo mode, flash, etc. So you should definitely familiarize yourself with it. The buttons are easy enough to use, so there is no problem with them. The lens doesn't move, but you can zoom in and out to take photos. However, the trigger is just a click away. Most point-and-shoot digital cameras have a shutter button that you can press halfway to focus and then press all the way down to take a picture. This camera has a fixed focus, so you cannot use the shutter button to adjust the focus. If the subject is too close to the camera, it will simply be out of focus. Faraway objects are fine as long as they are in focus. This camera does not have a macro function. This is a very, very basic camera. She takes adequate photos/videos and that's it. Overall I'd say this is a good entry-level camera for a young adult or someone who just wants to play around with photography before buying a more expensive camera.
