These fit true to size. The sole has withstood several visits to the water, but the inside liner did peel out and the velcro did not stay shut in the water (we sewed it shut and she just slips them on now). My daughter did not seem to care that the sole top came out and still wears them. Her past water shoes, the bottom sole got holes in after a few uses. These seem to be withstanding that and no holes yet. I would recommend, but just know that you may have to sew the velcro tabs shut.
