I've had two cubic beds before, but I think they were made for cats. They were only 13 square inches and my 17 pound dog squeezed into them, but it was obvious that he really didn't fit in. most of the time his head or butt was sticking out of the door.but he wouldn't give up so I went in search of this particular design but in a larger size.I have to say there isn't many on the market that fit the bill but this one is GREAT!It has enough space for my dog and his favorite blanket.The quality seems very good.it holds its shape very well,has lots of padding and a very soft lining. It can be opened and converted into a standard washable bed. There are other colors but I prefer blue. It's good value for money, good. The price is higher than standard beds, but the extra size makes up for it her more valuable. I love it. My second dog is jealous so I'll probably have to invest in another one when deciding where to put him.
