Headlights work well and seem sturdy enough to withstand the outdoors. All functions work, the button works. The color is good, the saturation is sufficient. The only issue I have is that I bought this set because an answer to a question and at least two reviews said the lights remember the last setting when you turn them off and resume the same setting when you turn them on again. The headlights I received don't do this. I turn the lights on forever, unplug them and when plugged back in they flash alternately again. No matter what mode they are in when off, they always turn on in alternate flashing mode. I don't blame the seller for not listing this as a feature of the product. That's a problem for me because I wanted to hang them outside in my garage, turn on the photo switch timer, and have them on all the time. It was surprisingly difficult to find a "dumb" string that was always on when plugged in, since almost every option contained the same 8-function control mechanism. Maybe my set is defective, or other reviewers are confused or considering a different product. I have a negative opinion of Revain's search function, which does not allow you to exclude certain product features. I probably won't be able to do an outdoor durability test on this product as I don't want to climb stairs every night to switch the light from flashing to steady. Maybe I'll buy a 29-volt power supply for the chair, replace the "forgetful" 8-function controller, and turn it into a dumb system that can do whatever I want. Oh, and I'm not a professional reviewer. I have a day job that involves programming robots and modeling complex experimental systems. I only do product reviews occasionally, and when I do it's because something is unexpectedly good or unnecessarily stupid and I feel an obligation to let other people know about it.
