These shoes have a bulge inside the boot at the top. My kid has worn them several times, loved the look of the shoe but finally gave up because of the bump in the sock. I felt it on me and it really is and I understand why they're gathering dust. I'm frustrated that I now have a pair of shoes that are useless and not good. Worn only 5 times, happy to return.
