I was impressed with the envelopes when I saw them on Innovation Nation. It seems like a practical, eco-friendly solution for storing cut fruits and vegetables. The story of how the product was developed by women entrepreneurs was a plus as I try to support women-owned businesses as much as possible. However, these cases are not as practical as I thought. The material quality seems very good and I expect them to be durable. They're relatively easy to clean so far, but I've given them a below-average rating because some reviews mentioned that they hold back odors. I haven't used them long enough to tell. My main issue with them is that anything you want to store needs to be the EXACT size and shape of the lids. I thought they would be stretchier and more form fitting. For example, I tried to cover a sliced banana, but the banana was too small in diameter so the lid wouldn't stay on. I really wanted to be able to use lids to store sliced lemons. You are not working! You need to cut the lemon across and the diameter needs to match the size of the lid. If you're cutting a lemon vertically, which I often do, forget about using one of those lids. They are not suitable for unusually shaped items. I considered returning them but found multiple uses such as grapefruits, oranges, soda cans. I do my best to reduce or eliminate plastic wrap and bags. Although this product has limited uses, I find that every little bit helps. I just wouldn't buy them again.
