Review on Browne Foodservice PG1 Nickel Plated Gripper by Sean Purnomo

I used this to pull a pizza out of the oven (note the past tense). It worked great for the smaller (9″) pans, hence the > rating 1 star but when I made the big (14″) and heavier cake it broke in transit! A piece of aluminum and pizza heated to 500 degrees is not the best object to put on yourself/legs/feet/ The outside edge (the edge that takes all the torque) is very flimsy - it's easy to bend it back to almost the same shape with just a thumb, but why waste another perfect pizza (oh, and risk to get a 500 did the frying pan fall on me or someone else)? This thing ended up in the trash during a big clean up and will be replaced with something stronger.
