Love these bowls! We got rid of ceramic dishes that we had used for ten years after we found that they had very high levels of lead. I've been looking for cookware for months looking for safe cookware and finally came across Duralex. I was a bit nervous about getting glassware as we have young children and most of our old sets were chipped or broken but I am very happy with how durable they are. They are not 100% unbreakable, they are glass. Our old dishes splintered or shattered when hitting the counter or sink. These are much more durable. We've already had a bowl, coffee mug and plate (all Duralex) fall onto our tile floor and ended up breaking the bowl but not the plate and coffee mug. I think my toddler threw the bowl instead of dropping it so I wasn't too surprised the bowl didn't survive. Cleaning up the broken glass was very easy compared to other glass broken on our floor. The pieces were the size of pebbles, no large sharp splinters or very small splinters. These bowls are the perfect size for kids or adults. They fold beautifully, they are attractive, lightweight and simple, and easy to clean. I highly recommend this and all Duralex dishes.
