4.5 Stars - Tangled Mess Of The Box - Pretty Once Hung

In October I put cobwebs in my husband's office window and wanted a snowflake light after Halloween. It turns out there really is no such thing as a snowflake. These hanging stars are a transitional light that runs between November and December, and I can even leave them for January without feeling overly guilty. When I took it out of the box, my first thought was "someone returned it". My lights were a mess. I plugged them in to make sure they worked and everything worked, so I decided to just keep going. I quickly realized that if I untangled everything on the floor I would have to transfer the light to the window, which unless I grew five more arms wouldn't work. I decided to dissolve at the window. Luckily I decided to hang the light on Sunday morning because it's not a quiet project and couldn't be done while my husband was working. The sound of the plastic stars clicking together almost drove me insane. Luckily the wires are covered in thick plastic which made loosening the sprockets easier and quicker. I hung a strand of stars starting near the connector and then just worked my way to the end. I used suction cup hooks. I hung the stars on a standard window about 7 feet in diameter. I realized the lights were longer than the window, so I just folded them in half and hung a bunch of big stars on the same hooks as the small ones. It may look a little different during the day, but nobody can tell at night.
