Review on FIMEI Projector Bluetooth Speaker Ambiance by April Simpson

It's a lot of fun

I originally got this to entertain my nephews but now I use it for myself. There are many different patterns and colors - photos and videos don't do it justice. Some of the patterns can be mesmerizing and calming, while others are more energetic, especially when the light picks up the rhythm. The design is really simple but effective - it's a solid sphere about 6 inches in diameter with a matching base - this makes it easy to aim the projection to fill the walls and ceiling but not towards your eyes is directed. I really like that it uses USB-C for power - no fiddling around trying to figure out where up is, and micro-connectors are becoming obsolete and rarer. There is a USB-A slot for connecting a flash drive with music or audio books. The included speaker is ok, but nothing special. The projector has an excellent Bluetooth setup for phone/desk audio streaming. It connects easily and uses voice prompts to let you know when connected. Most functions are accessible via the built-in buttons, but the real fun is the remote control. It takes a bit of work to get used to all the buttons, but it's worth it because there are so many options. Music controls are easy and great for reading audio books. The moon projection and laser dots can be toggled along with each individual color: red, green, blue, and white. These colored lights are on the dimmer. At full power, it can fill a room with light. My favorite feature is motion, which can be set to slow, fast, or off. Slow whirlpools of light can be mesmerizing and a great way to fall asleep.
