Review on Singer Power Lead Cord for Model 401, 403, 404 - 3 Pin Plug - By NGOSEW by Barbara Simmons

This product will work with my Singer 201-2 and will probably fit any of those old Singer 3 pin connectors which are handy interchangeable. Please note that if your machine requires a power cord and foot pedal (pedal) combination, this is not what you need. I had to bend the brass clamps on my Singer 201 a bit to get it to fit. I can't tell if this is a manufacturing defect with this product or if my 83 year old unit just has slightly bent connectors, but that's one of the reasons I'm only giving it 4 stars. It works flawlessly and certainly gives peace of mind that the original wiring can pose a serious fire hazard. I wish the cable looked more like the original wires; The juxtaposition of this new line and the mid-20th century machine is somewhat striking. But it does what it's supposed to and lets me drive safely (and cheaply! 9€!)!
