Review on Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3: 15.6 Inch AMD Ryzen Gaming Laptop with RTX 3060 6GB GDDR6 by Adam uciuk ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, more pros than cons.

The laptop has good characteristics: processor, RAM, storage and video card. If you use it as a "workstation" (a separate monitor, external speakers) and at the same time you sometimes need to take it somewhere with you, then this is a very good option. After 4 months of use, I can say that the laptop is good, I did not observe a lack of performance. The Witcher 3, Quake Champions seems to pull normally. I also changed my rating from 3 to 4.

Pros
  • Powerful AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor. Good video card. High frequency of RAM (3200, if I'm not mistaken). Pixels are almost invisible on the screen. Very fast loading (5-7) seconds. Normal keyboard arrows (all four are the same size). The left CTRL button is in place (see ThinkPad keyboard). Good case - pleasant to the touch.
Cons
  • The monitor, though 120 Hz, is superfluous for everyday tasks, a la programming, text / code layout and surfing the Internet. For games 15.6 "is not enough, for working with serious graphics like Coral Draw, Photoshop, Inskape, Adobe's all sorts - the screen is small, you still need an external monitor. The airflow system is designed so that you cannot connect an external monitor and close the lid laptop, because most of the radiator will be closed, where heat is blown out. Only 2 USB. In terms of color reproduction, the monitor is very mediocre, you can see "lights" on the screen (when viewed in the dark). The 1MP camera is very weak. When switching between performance modes (Fn + Q), nothing is displayed on the screen - it is very difficult to understand which mode is configured, except for fps in games. The button on ESC does not light up when you press Fn + ESC - a trifle, but unpleasant, probably something from Lenovo with drivers.
