My almost 5 year old got into the 5T with no problem. The dress is beautiful and she loves it. I would give more stars but the top pad is too fragile for small children. This dress was worn to a wedding (she was a flower girl). I put the dress on her 1 hour before the wedding because I wanted to be more careful with the dress. As she stood up, the hem of the lace ripped at the hem of her dress. She did nothing seditious, literally sat still, and when she got up, she tore. We were able to sew it using an emergency sewing kit but keep in mind this is a disposable dress and the dress may not survive the event unscathed.
