Review on WirthCo Battery Doctor Trickle Charger by Dewitt Graham

This solar panel has enough power and is small enough to sew into a tarpaulin for mooring. With the cover in place and the solar panel connected, it will keep my 12v 650amp deep cycle marine sailboat battery charged for a full season (6 months). You never had to remove the battery and charge it or rely on shore charging. Sailboats rely on a battery to power essential equipment like radios, navigation/anchor lights, and sometimes an electric trolling motor (55lb thrust) used to get in and out of the pier, so my battery is strong every journey is charged. . I take the lake which is usually 2-3 days at a time to give you an idea of how I use the panel. I remember the bezel and bezel are water resistant but that doesn't mean they are rainproof but I could be wrong. I don't remember what the guarantor said. I didn't take any chances and sealed it with RTV between two sheets of Plexiglas. (May void warranty. Keep that in mind. I needed a small panel so it was worth it). The fairing was damaged while parked during a storm. The glass covering the plate itself is cracked. I was surprised that the built in fuse I had installed hadn't blown and this little solid board continued to supply power barring damage. In the meantime I have replaced the original plate with a new one. My battery is in excellent condition thanks to this little solar panel. Now that I think about it, I'll buy a spare!
