Do not buy this for your portable DAC/amplifier. (Android USB Audio)

I wanted to give this cable 5 stars as it comes as a Type-C [Host] to Micro USB OTG cable for Android devices works, but there is one very important point of caveat if you're buying it to transfer audio from a USB DAC/amplifier. This cable has been tested with three device configurations (I use LG G6, Fiio Kunlun and RHA Dacamp L1, -fi.org has used it with S8 in conjunction with Oppo HA-2SE) and while it transfers audio over USB with no issues, it is used the phone's battery to charge the connected DAC/amplifier, even if your amp is self-powered. The cable does not have the correct pins to control your phone's charging settings and you will find that most OTG cables work that way. I think it's an issue with how USB DACs/amps are made in general. Oppo made a custom Type-C -> Micro USB cable that should allow Android to stop charging the DAC/amp while streaming audio. You can buy the cable directly from Oppo Digital. ** (There are no guarantees when it comes to smartphones and passing USB audio. All I can say is that it works for the above settings.) Conclusion: If you are buying this to get a DAC/amplifier on Android setting it up will let sound through, but you'll seriously damage your battery if you try to use this on a daily basis. When streaming music with the RHA Dacamp L1, this cable delivers a discharge rate of 39% per hour with the screen off and 95% per hour with the screen on. The same setup with the included RHA cable and matching OTG adapter drains at a rate of 6%/hr.
