Bought for use as a tablecloth, easier to remove than the whole tablecloth. 100% cotton, machine washable, lay flat to dry, then iron. The need for care was known to me before the purchase. Napkins are linen and require the same care. I have another one to alternate if one gets washed. Good quality cotton. Well sewn, no protruding threads. I have a cream tablecloth underneath.
