When my previous scale failed a few months ago, I thought it would be as easy as running to Target for a replacement. It's not like this. The first scales I tried were completely inaccurate: if you stepped on a weight two minutes later in the same clothes, you were 8 pounds lighter or heavier - depending on your mood.
