Review on LOVE2PET® Ultrasonic Flea Tick Shield by Edwin White

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Unfortunately, this had no effect on our dog's fleas.

I was so hoping that this flea and tick repellent would solve or at least help our current flea outbreak, but as far as I can tell it has had absolutely no effect. We received it last Wednesday (six days ago) and immediately pulled out the small strip to activate it and put it on our dog's collar. We then monitored our poor dog closely for 24 hours only to find that the flea count had actually increased. We decided to wait a full 48 hours hoping it would only take a few days to kick off, but still nothing. At this point, our dog was whimpering, biting, and scratching himself, and it was cruel to let him suffer any longer in the hope that this shield would work. So we took some diatomaceous earth and sprinkled it all over her sleeping and walking area as well as her entire stomach which was infested with fleas at that moment. The diatomaceous earth definitely got rid of the fleas that had settled in their bedding and hangouts, but didn't seem to do anything (if anything) for the dog itself. Then we got her a signature flea collar (in addition to that Love2Pet tag she still wears). After a few days, a regular flea collar seems to help *a little*. Today we gave her a drug (Capstar) that seems to have finally killed all the fleas. If it wasn't such a hectic week this week we would bathe her every day too, but maybe it's a good thing we didn't. So we can clearly see that this product unfortunately did absolutely nothing for our dog. In case it's helpful for someone to know, we have CR Dealz flea and tick repellent. Maybe (hopefully) we just got a defective model. (On the other hand, they were shipped very quickly).
