Review on Handkerchiefs Cotton Classic Hankies Parties by Reggie Higdem

Good replacement for disposable towels.

I bought these to replace disposable wipes. I have allergies and always carry a tissue with me in case my nose starts to run. I wanted something about the size and weight of the fabric. These match this account. They are very thin and break a bit right out of the box, but they are about the size of a standard napkin. The first time I washed them in cold water and dried them on a flat floor. They've shrunk quite a bit - less than a quarter of an inch. If I hadn't measured them before and after, I probably wouldn't have noticed. After the first wash they got softer. The second time I washed it in warm water and dried it on the gentle cycle - mostly just warm air. They've shrunk about half an inch in each direction, but are much softer and more absorbent. They appear to be thicker as the fibers are closer together after shrinking a bit. They are slightly smaller than a standard napkin. The third wash was in lukewarm water but tumble dried. No noticeable shrinkage was observed after the third wash. I find them very good as a substitute. After drying - either air or tumble dry - they are nice and soft and my nose is happy. I have bought other handkerchiefs - some larger, some heavier. But these are the ones I can slip in my pocket and use as a napkin without getting fat. The best part besides saving trees is that I will no longer find crumbled pieces of fabric in my dryer and sticking to my clothes since the fabric is not taken out of my bag. I use a laundry bag when I wash them because they're small enough that they can end up in the lining of my front-load washing machine (socks are often there) - that is if I remember to search my bags for them before washing.
