Easy assembly. There were no instructions in the box, but it was pretty self-explanatory, all you had to do was look at the product image online and put it together. Baskets are made of medium-thick plastic. It's not the strongest cart, I wouldn't put heavy objects in it as I don't think the plastic will hold that much weight. This is fine for my purposes as I use it to store some things by the door for easy access. Sometimes I walk out the door and it's looking gloomy so I go back to find an umbrella and it always takes a few minutes. Go in and search. I hate doing this when I'm in a hurry to get to work. Now I have a basket with my umbrella collection right outside the door. If I need to get one of them, it's easy to get to once I open the door. Storage of tissues and hand wipes in a basket. That way I can always grab a few if I need them on the way out. Flu season is in full swing and I'm going through a lot of them to make it easier to refill my wallet at the door. I also use a lot of plastic and metal recycle bags, so I keep the various bags below for easy access. I leave the top basket empty so I can put my bag down when I get home. The hooks come in handy for hanging small bags and gifts so I don't forget them when I leave the house. Generally very satisfied with the organization offered by this car.
