Likes: - Overall sound quality is pretty good, although you'll need to set the mic gain properly on your computer - Cardioid pickup pattern is accurate and very good. work to reduce interior noise and reflected sound. - Mostly "studio quality" audio compared to the built-in omnidirectional microphone. - The pop filter is excellent and improves the sound quality of a speaker that is very close to the microphone. Doesn't actually change the sound profile at all, but reduces the rapid breathing that rasps the mic with certain sounds. - Includes a wind cover, although a pop screen is better. Dislikes: - The tripod and gimbal don't use the standard 1/4-20 or 3/8-16 thread, so you're stuck with this tripod. - The microphone is designed to be mounted facing the tripod mounting point, but this limits the angle you can use it - you can't tilt it up so it faces the speaker from the table, as you probably want it most of the time. If you flip the mic so you can tilt it, the pop filter attachment point will get in the way and it will be tricky. Position the filter in front of the microphone as this is a small area for the gooseneck to move. See attached picture. Definitely stick to the pop filter if you can. - In general, I think the sound quality is better from something like the Snowball Blue Ice mic, and that mic has pickup scheme settings, but this one doesn't. - Non-detachable USB cable, it seems a bit cheap but not a huge disadvantage either. In general, there are some better mics for not a lot more money and some not much worse mics for a lot less money. But for a microphone with a suspension and pop filter, this is a very good value - neither the worst nor the slightly better microphones have suspensions or filters that really add much value.
