Do not install a monitor when playing FPS or other fast-paced games

I wanted to get a monitor to go with my Dell S2716dg as I can't find it anywhere else. I bought this from Best Buy and I mean it looks great when you're watching videos (in general) or photos and playing strategy games. The stand is very light and looks like it's about to fall apart. Playing Rocket League was terrible compared to a regular TN monitor. The motion blur was terrible. Imagine playing a game with VA monitors and normally motion blur is turned off except your monitor always leaves it on. CoD wasn't great, but it was better. Even after I updated to the latest firmware. I will most likely be returning this monitor to Best Buy. I'm looking for an IPS or other TN monitor simply because it's horribly gross when I'm playing Skyirm, Horizon: Zero Dawn or any other first person RPG/game. I don't believe for a minute that the response time is 1ms compared to my Dell S2716dg.
