Disclaimer: This is the first pair of knee pads I have owned. My only other experience is knee wraps. I've used these sleeves in about a dozen squat workouts and they've been amazing! I suffered from tendonitis in my knee and had to give up squats for over two years. Recently I tried to get back there but every time the pain in my knee made me stop even under the barbell. Quality sleeves!) with no pain in the knees. They seem to have three main benefits: psychological, resilience (alleviates some soft tissue damage), and thermal (they keep the joint very warm all the time and also mitigate injuries!). Overall they appear to be very durable. Quality material, amazingly cheap and helped me squat properly again! I'm not sure if these specific sleeves are legal in specific powerlifting competitions, but for those looking for a cheap, quality pair of sleeves for training, I HIGHLY recommend them.
