Review on JBL Tour PRO+ TWS True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds: Noise Cancelling, 32H Battery, 3 Mics, Wireless Charging, Google Assistant & Alexa (Black) by Liz Pacheco

Great sound and features in a sleek design

Tour Pro+ is quite an interesting headphone. The matte black body is a bit larger than I would like but still wearable. It has a beautiful sleek design with a glossy lip line. The case closes tightly with a magnet and keeps the headphones securely inside even if you shake them vigorously. The buds themselves are also matte black with a glossy signature line. They're a bit bulky and stick out a little. Although I've never had any discomfort, I've always worn them consciously, especially when running. They are easy to place in your ears and stay in place thanks to the fin design. Just in case, JBL comes with 5 sets of gel tips and 2 sets of ear tips. They are equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 and easily connect to Android and iOS. I could not find which codecs are compatible, such as B. aptX, but I didn't experience any crashes or disconnects when walking around the apartment. Since the headphones connect separately, you can only listen to one headphone at a time - great when answering a call. The battery life of these headphones is impressive: 32 hours and after a few days I didn't have to charge them anymore. Incidentally, the case can be charged via USB-C or Qi Wireless, and there's also a quick charge feature where a few minutes in the case adds hours of playback. The noise cancellation isn't the best and is a bit disappointing at this price point. While they may not be able to block many low frequencies, they're decent enough to have fun in traffic. The same goes for surround sound. While they're quite handy when you need to know what's going on, they tend to sound unnatural. The call quality is also okay. My voice can be heard clearly through the three-mic array, but people have told me I still sound like I'm in a tunnel. The wind suppression function worked as advertised. The 6.8 mm drivers deliver a quite pleasant sound out of the box. The bass is a bit tight compared to the old JBL headphones, but more precise, punchy and punchy. The mids are not deepened, allowing vocals and rhythm instruments to come to the fore. High frequencies can increase, but they're not harsh or fatiguing. If you don't like the sound, you can always adjust it with the accompanying JBL app. Speaking of the app, this is one of the best I've tried. It offers so many features like ANC/Ambient Sound Control, Control Button Mapping, Delay (Video, Music) and more. It really adds value to the buds. Unfortunately, the control scheme options can be another thing that let me down. The touch controls worked well and were responsive. However, I have never found a circuit that would allow me to control everything at once. However, I appreciate that I was able to control playback and volume, albeit awkwardly, and summon the voice assistant with little effort. Although they are compared to similarly priced buds, I sincerely believe that you will definitely have no regrets if you buy them.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • poorly thought out
