I used to have a large Waterpik RainFall+ rain shower head that was a great shower head. While it was a great shower head I wanted something with a wider spray so I decided to try the Moen S1004. When I received the Moen S1004 there wasn't much instruction manual, but the instructions indicated that this showerhead was best placed directly overhead. My shower had a standard 6 inch 45 degree shower head. I replaced the short shower head with a 17" Purelux high arch shower arm and installed a Moen S1004 shower head. Moen S1004 has a beautiful mirror chrome finish. It has a nice thin smooth side profile. The face of the shower head is approximately 12 inches by 12 inches square. The shower with Moen S1004 gives a pleasant, wide and soft shower jet from the nozzles. When placed over your head, the shower head provides enough water volume and pressure to easily wash shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. far horizontally. Because of this, I highly recommend mounting the shower head overhead as instructed in the instructions. The only downside to this shower head is that it will retain water when the shower head is perfectly flat and horizontal. While I'm sure this probably won't be a problem if the shower is used daily, I'd like to wonder if this could cause standing water to form if the shower hasn't been used for a long time, which could clog the shower head. . Personally, I just tilt the shower head in one direction as far as I can when I'm done to drain as much water as possible. All in all, this is a very attractive shower head with a nice, soft spray pattern. I have no hesitation in recommending this shower head.
