My two cars in my garage always bump into each other when we open the doors. I installed this product on both machines and it actually looks pretty good. Installation was easy and only took a few minutes per door. I don't know how long it will last or how durable it will be, only time will tell. My assessment is that it offers some initial protection, but after a few hits the plastic will fall apart, requiring repeated uses. I'm worried about the metal in the rubber rusting and damaging my car or coming through the rubber and scratching the paint. But so far it looks good and protects the edges of my car doors. I recommend removing the metal bits on the ends of each strip to keep them from rusting. (You shouldn't see any metal on the ends.) Good luck!
