I was looking for garlands for the Christmas tree that I decorate for all the holidays/seasons. I wanted to be able to change colors without having to change the light as it was messy work as the wood was shedding each time. These lights are perfect. They are bright and have many options. I prefer permanent but like to change it up from time to time. There were only two downsides, but they didn't stop me from buying again. First, it would be nice to be able to control the brightness. Second, when I use the remote (which I love!), it interferes with my FireTV. The first time I tried to turn on the light, my TV changed input! I thought my dog had stepped on the TV remote like he always does, but he just lay there, half asleep. I still didn't realize it was a light panel until later, when it wasn't by the TV remote and I was showing the light to my family, I realized it was a light panel. Again not a deal breaker. All I know is that you can't adjust settings with the remote control when you're looking at something important. (Like the Browns playoffs tonight, go Brown!)
