I bought these to replace the regular bath mat in my bathroom. I've had other diatom rugs before, but wanted to try one of the soft options. Unfortunately this rug does not dry as promised when used as a shower rug. It is best suited for the sink area in the kitchen or bathroom. However, it is not suitable for use as a shower mat as it is not possible to dry with more than a small amount of water as described. After a normal shower, when a person was not soaked to the skin, the carpet dried out for more than 30 minutes. Unfortunately I had to send it back and order a traditional diatom rug. I needed a solution for a traditional bath rug. However, if I needed a kitchen rug, I would leave it.
