I ordered 7, usually I'm a size 7. There is very little extra room but 6.5 will probably be too tight so I think they're mostly true to size. They stunk when I received them. like chemicals. I just tossed them in a garment bag, washed and towel dried them. They dried in 2 minutes and the smell was gone! Still fits. They don't hold sand. They are also not ready to be washed away right away. Washing machine and garment bag will become your friends. However, I've worn them many times on a cruise - they were so comfortable. And I get "I love your shoes" compliments!
