They are definitely taller than most size 6 shoes. The attached photo is a comparison to their Nike Powers in the same size. Nike kids shoes actually run small, so these boots definitely run large. If you are ordering them for immediate use I would choose the size smaller, but if not I would choose the exact size. I ordered them for my daughter's birthday party this weekend as it is a farm animal theme, they are definitely big but I think a thick sock will fit her because the sock is narrower due to the style
