This is exactly what I wanted. I had a laptop that was always too hot to touch and after 24 hours my laptop still felt cold to the touch. Since the entire device is mesh, I suppose even using it without a fan works fine when you're not gaming. It's quieter than my laptop's fan when it's actually running, but it'll probably drive you crazy if you're working in complete silence. If you're working with the TV or music on, you won't hear it at all. One of the fans isn't as tight as the other, so it touches slightly, which I can feel when I put it on my lap; There aren't enough issues to handle the sending back and forth, so I'll leave it at that. It works great and I would recommend it to anyone if you don't mind having the blue light on all the time (which I don't mind as I don't work in the dark anyway). UPDATE: I pulled the device. took it apart and was able to glue the fan motor to the plastic and it no longer touches. Still 4/5 because I don't think you need a brand new item to operate.
