It hurts to turn it on and off.
The orthosis is well made and well thought out. However, due to pain, I was unable to lift it past mid-foot. Very tight. My fracture was just that - a broken fibula at the ankle. Not hard. I can't imagine a man's pain after surgery untying him. If so, order one size larger. I ended up getting the lace up style.
