As another reviewer noted, it is overly stretchy (stretches 1.5 inches per foot of cord), making it a poor choice for securely tensioned tent/rain canopy lines and bad news for windy weather . In the rain at night, but with a headlight it is clearly visible. It seems strong enough to hang a bear sack, use as a clothesline, or tie a tarp, maybe breaking 30lbs or so (nothing stated on packaging regarding weight capacity), but they're a lot less stretchy and there is there are probably stronger reflective cords out there, although they cost significantly more for the same amount. I think I was expecting something more like paracord, this material is almost like bungee cord. I could just take good old 550 line and tie loops on it. Maybe it's better to wrap it around a bike frame, backpack or whatever to improve visibility on the road in the evening because it definitely lacks the best qualities of a good utility cable.
