Review on 🧩 Exploring the Alphabet: Melissa & Doug See Inside Puzzle Unveils Letter-Learning Fun! by Tuan Core

Great, but I suggest the no-pins option if your budget allows.

This is a great puzzle game and you can't beat the price. But honestly I wish I had chosen a more expensive one that doesn't have pins in the parts. Firstly, the pins can be quite difficult for small toddlers to use - it is difficult for them to put the pieces back in place as they rotate a bit when trying to put them down. Yes this means they are working on their motor skills by playing with it but I bought this to help my son learn the alphabet, he has many other toys to help with his motor skills. Now he is very annoyed because he cannot assemble all the parts himself (which of course is necessary for some babies). Another thing is that these pieces are very small - which makes sense (you can put a lot of pieces on the board!) - but it means you'll probably end up with pieces on the floor. If you walk barefoot, stepping on this peg definitely will (not much fun!). The quality isn't fantastic, but it's clearly an economical option that almost anyone can afford, so at this price point it's definitely not lacking in that department. But I had a chance to play with the alphabetized version of this pattern at my son's doctor's office - the quality is noticeably better (and the pieces don't have pins) - but of course it's also twice the price. I'm still wondering if I'll buy a new one or just get away with it. Just take a look.
