Review on 🔌 Belkin Power Strip Surge Protector - 10 AC Outlets, 15ft Metal Extension Cord, Wall Mountable for Home, Office, Travel, Desktop, Laptop & Phone Charging by Mohmed Burt

Great if you don't intend to mount it.

This appears to be a quality, durable surge protector and I chose it for the metal body. Three sides is better than none, although I'd be happier if the back was metal too. What really detracts from the usability for me are the ridiculous mounting holes on the back. I'm not sure who you must be to ONLY align those four screws to fit small holes with no clearance, but that's not me. I used a paper template for the holes, a ruler and a spirit level - nada. In the end I decided to use two screws on one side, which was utter nonsense, but four didn't work. Here's the catch: there's NOTHING under those stupid rear mounting slots - they could just drill holes through the case for easier installation. But no. I wish forever the designers of these rear mounting slots trying to align the four screws with these tiny holes. A very annoying lack of thought/design effort for a reasonably important feature in what should be a high-end product. Protection - for some reason, power strips without surge protection are often easy to install. Come on Belkin, another 15 cents in production costs can save your customers a lot of swearing and make your products more useful on a practical level.

Pros
  • Optional AC safety sockets. The high-quality surge protection power strip has built-in intelligent circuitry and a voltage sensor to meet your device's power needs. Featuring a damage-resistant, all-metal body that protects the circuitry from fire, shock, and rust.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
