Looks good to me. To make installation easier, I used a watch pin repair kit that I already have. This kit makes it easy to squeeze the spring pins together without flying out or getting lost. Before fitting the watch to the new leather strap, I pressed the straps around the button to soften the leather a bit. I also cut the leather straps where they meet the watch case. You can see one of the cuts in my attached photos. I work in an industrial setting that works with steel and will update this if the group does well or poorly. My guess is that the spring pins that the watch came with will fail first. If you make skin incisions like I do, you can touch up the incision with a permanent marker so the incision blends in and disappears seamlessly.
