Great for my needs. I use mine at home and connect it to external speakers, but I think it will work fine when traveling. The sounds are soothing. However, I thought I read somewhere that the soundtracks (which each run about 8 hours at a time) sounded random and natural. But these soundtracks (which aren't music) seem to repeat the same sound pattern every 30-60 seconds for this 8 hour track (then why bother with an 8 hour track?). I have three rain soundtracks and two ocean soundtracks that I like to use that have recognizable repeating sound patterns every 30-60 seconds. Lying in bed, you experience this repetition, and sometimes it becomes so annoying that it keeps you awake (ironic). So, a great device but definitely needs better soundtracks. However, I gave it 4 stars because it's easy to create your own tracklist on a micro SD card using music or nature sounds from other sources.
