Review on πŸ“Ί SS-55 Storm Shell Outdoor TV Enclosure, 45-55 inch by Juan Wilson

Proper body and mount for a safe and secure place.

For some reason I expected the fuselage to have forked wings that turn left and right. In fact, the case is a clamshell that consists of two parts. The front is pressed against the back half, forming a water-repellent coating. It is not waterproof and certainly not waterproof. Additional weather protection can help. But for the price it's fair. There are hooks under the back half for you to hang the front half on. You want the mounting space on the bottom to be clear so you can stow the front of the case while you watch TV. Our TV is mounted on the outside wall of our house under a canopy, so that's fine for our application. If you have an open installation site, you may want to spend more to better protect your TV. Connecting the swivel mount to your TV is a mounting kit offering. It can drive you crazy. My engineering skills were challenged. There was enough detail to assemble the mortar. The TV slid slightly out of plumb until all the fasteners were very tight. While the plastic body is a bit wonky, the swivel mount is solid. Not exactly what I expected, but in the end sufficient and certainly economical. "Castle" is a joke. This cover provides minimal security. If you are afraid of theft, this is not the case to buy. If you use a lock, it only prevents pranks. I recommend this case as a spill and dirt resistant solution for an outdoor TV in a safe location that is reasonably well protected from the elements. We find that watching TV on our patio in the evenings is just as enjoyable as we had hoped.
