I was hoping this item would work because it was so cheap. I figured why pay for an expensive heater when it's just a heating coil and dial to control it? Other reviewers say that the wax that comes with it isn't very good, and given the price of the entire kit, I was fine with that. I bought a better wax and can't comment on the quality of the wax that came with it as I haven't opened it. When the box arrived I was amazed to see that it was packaged in a different brand of box. The box itself was dented and unsealed. It seems that whoever is selling this heater somehow found a whole bunch of units cheaply and then picked up the boxes one by one. I strongly suspect that this product is used. There were small scratches on the plastic, the lid was dirty. The box was a little wrinkled. Worst of all, the heating pad doesn't even work properly. It has automatic temperature sensing to turn itself off if it gets too hot, but there's something wrong with not staying on for more than 30 seconds at a time. Turns on and off constantly. Despite this, I was able to melt the separately purchased wax balls and successfully apply the wax to my hair. The product claims to be able to stand up all day in moderate temperatures, but with the defective device I received it will not melt. even stay on for a full minute. I'm not returning it because it's too inconvenient to do during quarantine, but I would if I could. I don't necessarily mind incomplete products of dubious origin in weird packaging, as long as they actually WORK. And if the price is right. I wouldn't pay more than €15 for this heater even if it worked perfectly. And I actually looked, and before the crisis it REALLY cost that much, so I inflated the price due to my own ignorance. Lesson learned and other buyers beware.
