Review on 🐱 Spooky Cat Halloween Mansion Playhouse for Cats, Kittens, Rabbits & Bunny - Cardboard Box House Condo Cave Furniture Bed with Cat Scratcher by Patricia Dworin

There's nothing cuter

It seems like there are a lot of ways to play houses with cats lately. They all have cardboard scrapers on the bottom and a cute house design on the outside. This is no exception, but it differs in several ways. First, the theme is a Halloween haunted house, so it's kind of seasonal. Second, it has a really big opening for cats - so big that they can easily scratch the "floor" on the outside. Third, it's taller than most, with a theoretical second floor, though I can't imagine it would withstand a cat jumping onto the 'roof'. The center of gravity will be too high and most likely will fall. Luckily, it's not obvious that you can land anywhere at the top, as it's surrounded by a mansard roof and the flat spot in the middle isn't very visible. The block I received came together pretty easily even without paying attention to the tutorial video on the listing page. The side walls of the house were slightly dented in a few places from the start - not enough to spoil the impression of the house, but it's noticeable if you look for it. My only question is why the house is so expensive - most other cat playhouses I've seen cost closer to $20. Perhaps that's because its appeal (and sales) will be limited to about a month a year. But it's still pretty expensive for what it is.
