Quality varies by product.

I think it was 6 dollars. I won't complain. But here's my observation: My energy company gave me one as part of the Green campaign (along with a bunch of CFLs and LED bulbs and a couple of aerators). I love it. it's efficient, powerful, and I love the check valve (or soap and soak, whatever they call it). This allows me to gradually reduce the pressure. So I bought it to go to a vacant bathroom at a friend's house - AKA my bathroom at a friend's house. Check valve not working properly. 1) it doesn't completely shut off the water (like the other one, but my first one lowers it to a drop). This one reduces it to about 25% but still leaks from the shower head. 2) I can't gradually decrease the flow. it"bangs" from open to closed. I'm either getting full flow or it's in the off position. Again, this is a $6 shower head that drops your output to 2 GPM. the water company as the same type of advertising as the electricity company and it was inappropriate. For example, it was difficult to get soap out of armpit hair. that the extra 1/2 GPM is YUGE.

Pros
  • INTERRUPTED FLOW. The eco-friendly showerhead features a pause button that allows the user to pause the water to a fine trickle for additional water and energy savings while lathering.
Cons
  • Some little things
