This is exactly what I was looking for in a scale. It's fast! He checks his work. And it looks beautiful at the same time. I bought a white block. I like that the LCD screen is not visible when the device is turned off. And I love how legible the white text is when I stand on it. I was afraid that the white text on the white case would be difficult to read, but the white text is very bright and very easy to read. In my photo, the white text has a blue tint. It's not blue at all to the naked eye, and I'd say it's more visible to the naked eye. The entire unit is a bit smaller than my old scale, which is perfectly usable even at my 12.5 foot height. I guess it's not unnecessarily big. The only thing that could be better on this scale is that I wish the white text didn't have a halo, but I'm really grasping at straws to lodge a complaint. This scale is superior to another branded scale I bought 6 years ago.
