Have been using this pillow since October 2020. It took about a day to fully fluff and the faint smell went away. The smell wasn't overpowering. It was noticeable but not nauseating. I sleep on my side. I usually fold the edges of my pillows to give them enough support. I didn't have to with this pillow. It provides adequate neck support. The cool side is beautiful. It's cool, but not too cool. The same applies to the warm side. In general I am very satisfied. I've tried several pillows before this one. I've never found the "right thing" until now. I strongly recommend trying it.
