At first glance, the YATEEN winter hat might seem like the perfect choice to keep your little one's head and ears warm during the colder months. The hat itself is sewn well, the jersey feels comfortable. The fleece lining feels comfortable and adds an extra layer of warmth that comes in handy on the coldest days. In addition, ear flaps are a great addition that protect against wind and cold. However, I did encounter a couple of shortcomings with this hat that caused me to give it three stars out of five. First, the size is a bit off. This hat is listed as a child size but runs small. My 2 year old's head fit the hat snugly and it was difficult to put on and take off without causing discomfort. Also, after a few wears, the hat seems to lose its shape and the pompom on the top of the hat doesn't hold up very well. All in all, the YATEEN winter hat is a cute and cozy option that will keep little ones warm in winter. However, I would recommend ordering a size up and being careful with the pom pom to ensure the best possible experience. With some improvements this could be a five star product.
