I use this mug for everything. Soup, granola, oatmeal, ice cream, beans and rice. I love it for my top ramen. It's better than trying to balance with a bowl on your lap while you watch TV. It's so convenient. It's great to heat up soup with him at work. This was the original reason for my purchase. Difficult to find a large enough size that is easy to hold and has a lid. This is perfect for me. This is also the 3rd one I've bought. It makes great gifts. You can fill it with your favorite candies. Bags of hot chocolate and mini marshmallows. Soup packets in a cup. You can also take other tissue paper and styrofoam soups and use this mug instead. This is study. . . . and it's Corning Ware!
