Review on πŸƒ New Balance Women's Running Shoes - Aluminum & Style Combined by Troy Robinson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Overall a great shoe but there is one small flaw

Like all New Balance this is a great shoe overall. I ordered a size up to fit my post-surgery swollen foot (I have 2.5 months before my bunion surgery). These shoes are comfortable from the start. Even on my hypersensitive surgical foot. ONE flaw with these perfect boots is that they go a little over my ankle. Hence the shoes rubbing on my round ankle (side ankle for all other nerd scientists). This chafing can be avoided by wearing ankle-high socks. However, this can become a problem if you'd rather not show your socks. I've only been wearing shoes for a few weeks so maybe this chafing will go away with time. I was worried the light gray would get dirty, which he did. But they are 100% clean with a visit to the washing machine. I put them in a laundry bag to wash and then let them air dry. They are breathable so your feet don't sweat. I wore them to my 13 hour nursing shift yesterday (with a lot of walking) and I felt comfortable in them ALL day. This shoe is very supportive and was recommended by my podiatrist. They are feather light and the outsole is strong yet flexible, allowing the foot to move at full power. On my normal/non-surgical foot, the heel does not slip even though I ordered a size up. Note on color. I ordered 2 pairs - gray and black. I left the gray because it looked way better than the black in person. Black looks chic on the internet but is very boring in real life. They are too jet black. They look very cheap from the uniform catalogue. They reminded me of the black "carriage boots" I wore when I worked in restaurants.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • There are some nuances
